Judge Orders Search For Boy 'With Sect'

A HIGH court judge made a "search and find" order yesterday on a youth who is believed to have disappeared with a secretive religious sect.

Bobby Kelly, 16, left home after he met members of the Jesus Christians in Romford, Essex, on June 27.

He had been out shopping with his grandmother, Ruth Kelly, when he met sect members handing out leaflets. On the same day he packed his bags, saying he was "going with them".

Mr Justice Sumner made Bobby a ward of court after Mrs Kelly appealed to the High Court for the return of her grandson at a private hearing.

The Jesus Christians were formed by David Mackay, an Australian, and have targeted impressionable teenagers.
