"A live-by-faith, work-for-God-not-money Christian community. We distribute Bible-based comics, videos, CDs, novels, and other tracts, and do free (voluntary) work. We are against hypocrisy and self-righteousness in the church; and we are in favour of honesty, humility and love."

These verses help to counteract the false teaching that good works (i.e. obedience to Jesus) have nothing to do with our salvation.

1. Romans 10:16, 1 Peter 4:17 The gospel is something you obey. Jesus died for us and forgives us, but true faith in that results in us doing all we can to obey him.

2. James 2:26 Faith without works is dead. Ephesians 2:8-9 is often used to argue that good works are pointless. But Ephesians 2:10 shows that good works are the natural result of faith. Without them, there is no real faith.

3. 1 Peter 1:23 We are born again by the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God. (Revelation 19:13) Listen to, and obey him, and you will see your whole personality change.

4. 1 John 3:6-8 If you sin, you don't know Jesus. We're not perfect (1 John 1:8), and honesty about our sinfulness brings forgiveness (1 John 1:9). But we must never condone deliberate disobedience to Jesus.

5. James 2:19 Even the devil has faith. Theological faith won't save anyone. What God wants is obedience faith.

6. Romans 2:13, James 1:22 Be doers and not just hearers. Don't kid yourself; you must walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

7. 1 Peter 2:7-8 Not obeying is the same as not believing. Peter assumes that disobedience is evidence of disbelief.

8. John 3:36 If you believe on Christ, you'll believe/obey what he says. John 3:16 could be translated "Whoever believes him shall not perish..." If you argue against his teachings, then you don't believe him.

9. 1 Peter 2:15-16 Don't use your freedom as an excuse to hate. We are free from religious rules so we can love in the way that Jesus has taught. Don't abuse this freedom.

10. Galatians 5:13 Do not use your freedom selfishly. We should be trying to serve God and others in love if we are controlled by God's Spirit.

11. 2 John 1:9, 1 John 5:3, John 14:15, John 14:21, John 14:23 True Christians are those who obey God and Jesus. You cannot claim to know God, love Jesus, or even love other Christians if you are not prepared to obey Jesus. All that Jesus said shows us how to love God and others.

12. James 4:17 Sin includes things that we don't do too. If we do nothing, we are as wrong as those who rob, lie, etc. Obey Jesus.
