Most parents cringe at the thought of trying to educate their children on the facts of life, simply because they are not sure themselves about what is appropriate and what is not. Attempts to seriously discuss sex usually lead to embarrassment for everyone concerned.

In an age when permissiveness and perversion are everywhere, and when the secular media thrusts sex upon us (and our children) at every turn, it is still hard to get religious people to open up and look at sex from a Christian perspective.

This book will almost certainly stir controversy, despite its basically conservative approach to the subject. And most of the controversy will arise from the presumed contradiction between being disciplined and being frank at the same time. But we see these two approaches as consistent. We feel they are both necessary if we are to be truly Christian and truly honest.
